The Time Has Come!

When was the last time you contemplated the state of your health? Most of us don’t really pay attention until something becomes out of balance with our body, mind or spirit. Then we find ourselves running from one health treatment to another. Well, what if we focused on wellness. What if we put our focus on being well!
History has shown us that there was a time in human evolution when we have put our focus on wellness. In Chinese Medicine the classics state that when you are connected to nature you are in balance, you are well. Some of us have lost that connection. It’s time we reconnect.
As an instructor and practitioner of Chinese Medicine, I see time and time again students, as well as patients, become empowered when they understand their body can self heal. They have reconnected with nature. They start to meditate and now have the awareness of what is keeping them emotionally stuck. Or start to practice qi gong or tai ji and they have more energy and the pains they have experienced for years have diminished. Illness they have been dealing with for years, resolved, once they started to eat a more “whole food” based diet.
One World Health Project (OWHP) is taking a stand for wellness. We are a team of acupuncturist and acupuncture students that believe in the power of Chinese Medicine to connect us back to nature. We are committed to a local grassroots effort to work with local schools to teach the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine to students. To teach them the three pillars of self-healing, awareness, activity, and nutrition. Our goal is to expose students to simple and fun techniques that they can practice each day. Some of the techniques we will be teaching are stillness (meditation), qi gong, and nutrition (how to eat with the seasons).
Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer many gifts in the area of preventative medicine. If you would like for OWHP to come speak at your school or organization, please contact us here.
Together let’s take a stand for wellness.
It’s time!
